Welcome to the twentieth issue of “Fenice
Scuol@Europa News”. Our newsletter addresses anyone who is
interested in European Projects, but in particular those people who are
interested in the themes these projects deal with.
This issue describes the projects FENICE is involved in as a promoter or
partner and the products developed by transnational partnerships, with the
support of the European Commission, within the framework of the Lifelong
Learning Programme.
We hope that this issue will help to promote these results, materials
and methods to a wider audience, and it will encourage the exchange of ideas
and experiences as well.
First we would like to tell you who we are in the hope that we may start a productive collaboration.
Our association Federazione Nazionale Insegnanti Centro di iniziativa per l’Europa aims at improving the professional characteristics of teachers and the standards of state schools and at enhancing democratic reforms. The association tackles the political, social and cultural problems connected to the school world, the teaching job and the professional growth of teachers.
FENICE publishes also a paper magazine called Scuol@Europa issued only in its Italian version. The newsletter is published, instead, in three languages and sent at least two times a year as an html-formatted e-mail, displaying news in short with links to the FENICE website and to the relating project websites, where full access to the relevant articles or documents is provided. § Workshop on teaching a foreign
language through theatre, songs & videos (Comenius 1.1)
§ "European education of high quality for all”
The project aims at
highlighting the importance of the intercultural dimension and creativity in
language learning and at promoting and encouraging cultural and linguistic diversity.
The best creative practices are inserted in the multilingual website
www.languagelearning.eu. After the great success of the International
Conference held in Brussels in mid-November 2012 in the presence of more than
100 operators from 18 countries, the partnership has scheduled a series of
in-service training courses in order to spread some of these new approaches in
teaching-learning a foreign language within the framework of the Comenius
programme In-service training
Action. The workshops aim at proposing alternative methods in the teaching of a foreign
language using creative and less
conventional devices - theatre, songs, videos - in order to
obtain active student involvement by means of learning strategies usually
excluded from current practice. In brief, the project wants to experiment
innovating techniques which may help improve teaching and have a positive
influence on learning.
The title of the
workshops is “Creativity in Language Learning: Drama, Music and Video for the
Language Classroom”. The first session will be held in Berlin (13-19 October
2013). All the

Participation in our training workshops is 100% financed by the Comenius
programme but it is necessary to send a pre-registration request to
armin.hottmann@mediaeducation.net and apply with your National Agency completing
the on-line form, printing it and sending it by post together with the
attestation of the pre-registration to your Agency within 30 April 2013.

20 didactic units on Portuguese are online
This project is an
extension to Portuguese language and its Brazilian variant of two previous
projects, “Languages and Integration through Singing” & “French and Spanish
language competence through songs” concerning Italian, French, Spanish,
Romanian and Russian and falls within a wider framework of FENICE’s activities
aimed at making language learning
easier.
In order to encourage innovation in education, to give
suitable teaching and methodological solutions as well as innovative
technologies to the target groups (teachers of Portuguese as L2, their students, learners of Portuguese of any age along with those
wishing to learn this language on their own), the project wants to spread new
ways of teaching a foreign language combining the use of songs (particularly
useful to enhance communicative skills and intercultural learning) with the use
of karaoke and YouTube audio-visuals. This approach favours on demand learning from learners different as regards age and type. Furthermore it aims at encouraging innovation in teaching as it is
particularly suitable to any teachers familiar with interactive multimedia blackboards.
The teaching material (A2 to B1 level of CEFR), is for
A1 level learners and is based on previous projects Guidelines which deal with
the methodology, the approach in language teaching and ways of writing suitable
exercises by oneself.
The partnership has
created teaching materials related to 20 Portuguese songs that are now on the
website www.languagesbysongs.eu tested by 15 teachers from 7 countries. On the
website more materials relating to Italian, Romanian and Spanish were added as
well, and the site now contains 124 songs with
their teaching units, video and karaoke in the six target languages.

" European education of high quality
for all”
Collect one million signatures in Europe !
On the occasion of the European Year of citizens (2013), FENICE means to support the European Citizens' Initiative: "European
education of high quality for all" and to spread it as much as
possible in order to collect a million signatures.
MEET, the Movement towards a European
Education Trust, submitted a European Citizens Initiative using new powers
within the EU’s Lisbon Treaty which gives citizens the right to demand new laws
directly from the European Commission – provided they can collect enough signatures.
For the first time an initiative directly affects education and European
education and helps it grow again and really change the future of those who
study and want to have the best means to develop. We have the right tools to go
from words to deeds but we need education and school to become a priority in
the political agenda, being the only expense of the welfare state which may
lead to development and active citizenship.
The MEET proposal calls for the creation of an Education platform to
stimulate debate on how to improve schools and boost the European dimension of
education in line with the EU’s 2020 strategy. “Europe’s future depends on
Education, how to educate citizens, how they learn.”
It is necessary to establish guidelines for the implementation of this
model that ends with a European high school leaving qualification, for the
benefit of future generations, as provided for by the Treaty of Lisbon.

La créativité dans l'apprentissage des langues (CREALLE)
Atelier à Berlin sur l'enseignement d'une langue étrangère
à travers théâtre, chansons et vidéos
Le projet vise à
mettre en évidence l'importance de la dimension interculturelle et la
créativité dans l'apprentissage des langues et à promouvoir et encourager la
diversité culturelle et linguistique. En www.languagelearning.eu site

Après le grand
succès de la Conférence internationale de Bruxelles tenue à la mi-Novembre, en
présence de plus de 100 opérateurs de 18 pays, le partenariat a prévu une série
de cours de formation continue destinés aux enseignants et dédiés à la
diffusion d'une approche différente de l'enseignement de la langues basée sur
l'utilisation des techniques du théâtre, de la musique et de la vidéo dans
l'enseignement / apprentissage.
Les cours,
intitulés «La créativité dans l'apprentissage des langues: théâtre, musique et
vidéo pour la classe de langue" applique les méthodes et les matériaux
produits dans trois projets au sein du projet CREALLE et sont inclus dans le
catalogue Comenius-Grundtvig. Numéro de référence du cours: DE-2013-1372-003.
Le premier cours
aura lieu à Berlin, du 13 au 19 Octobre
2013.
L'Agence nationale finance entièrement la
participation aux cours de formation organisés à l'étranger; il suffit d’envoyer
une demande de préinscription à armin.hottmann@mediaeducation.net et une fois
reçu le certificat, remplir le formulaire en ligne dans le site de votre Agence
Nationale.. Par la suite, il faut envoyer par
courrier à l’Agence Nationale le formulaire avec l’attestation de
préinscription avant la date limite prévue (30 Avril 2013) pour recevoir
l’approbation.

20 unités didactiques de portugais dans le site web du projet
Ce projet
représente une amplification à la langue portugaise et la variation brésilienne
de deux projets précédents, “Languages and Integration
through Singing” & “French
and Spanish language competence through songs” relatifs aux langues Italien, Français, Espagnol,
Roumain et Russe. Il s'insère dans un cadre d'activités plus ample de FENICE,
finalisées à faciliter l'apprentissage des langues.
Afin d'encourager
l'innovation dans l'instruction, de fournir d'adéquates réponses didactiques et
méthodologiques, ainsi que des technologies innovatrices adaptés aux groupes
individués (enseignants de Portugais ou de sa variante brésilienne L2 et tous
ceux qui désirent apprendre une de ce deux langues pour des raisons de travail,
pour tourisme ou immigration) le projet FADO se propose de diffuser la méthode
d'apprentissage d'une langue étrangère combinant la chanson et l'emploi du
karaoké et du matériel audio-visuel mis dans le web. Cette approche consent un
apprentissage on demand de la langue adapté à l'âge
et à la catégorie des élèves et consent l'emploi de nouvelles technologies
centrées sur Internet, YouTube et tableau multimédia
interactif.
Le matériel
didactique, relatif aux niveaux L2 et B1 du CEFR s'adresse à des élèves fournis
d'une compétence linguistique d'au moins A1 et suit le Guide illustrant la
méthode et offrant des suggestions pour introduire l'approche musicale à
l'intérieur de l'enseignement de la langue et aussi pour écrire tout seul les
exercices.
Les produits
fabriqués par le partenariat et relatifs à 20 chansons portugaises sont
actuellement testés par 15 enseignants provenant de 7 pays. Dans le site
www.languagesbysongs.eu on trouvera des outils pédagogiques destinés au Portugais,
mais aussi d’autres outils relatifs aux langues Italien, Roumain et Espagnol. Maintenant
le site contient 124 chansons chacune
avec son unité d'enseignement, vidéo et karaoké dans les six langues cibles.

"Éducation européenne de qualité pour tous"
Recueillir un million de signatures en Europe!
A l'occasion de
l'Année européenne des citoyens (2013), FENICE vise à soutenir l'Initiative Citoyenne
Européenne: «L'éducation
européenne de qualité pour tous» et à la diffuser autant que possible, afin
de recueillir un million de signatures.
MEET, le Mouvement vers un Fonds pour
l'éducation européenne, en vertu des nouvelles prérogatives offertes par le
Traité de Lisbonne, a présenté une Initiative Citoyenne Européenne, qui donne aux citoyens le droit d'exiger de
nouvelles lois directement de la Commission européenne - à condition qu'ils recueillent
suffisamment de signatures en soutien.
Pour la première
fois une initiative touche directement l'éducation et l'éducation européenne,
pour parvenir à grandir et à changer de manière concrète l'avenir de ceux qui
étudient et désirent avoir les meilleurs moyens de se former. Il y a les
instruments pour agir mais il faut que l'éducation et l'école redeviennent une
priorité dans l'agenda politique, étant la seule dépense de l'État-providence qui
soit aussi un facteur de développement et de citoyenneté active.
Principaux
objectifs: Créer une plateforme de discussion et de collaboration ouverte à
tous les partenaires, où les parents, les professeurs, les étudiants, les
partenaires sociaux, les éducateurs et les décideurs proposeront, débattront et
formuleront une politique européenne pour un modèle éducatif aux niveaux de primaire
et de secondaire pour tous les Européens, qui soit de qualité, pluriel et
compatible avec EU 2020. Et en outre, définir un plan pour mettre en œuvre ce
modèle éducatif, se terminant, éventuellement, par le Baccalauréat européen, au
profit des générations futures, comme prévu par le Traité de Lisbonne.

"Creativity in language learning” CREALLE
Un
corso di formazione in servizio a Berlino
Il progetto mira a
valorizzare l'importanza della dimensione interculturale e della creatività
nell’apprendimento delle lingue e a promuovere e incoraggiare la diversità
linguistica e culturale. Nel sito multilingue www.languagelearning.eu sono
presenti le migliori pratiche creative come pure i 4 progetti selezionati come
esempi tra i quali i tre progetti che hanno dato vita al sito
www.languagesbysongs.eu.
Dopo il grande successo
della Conferenza Internazionale svoltasi a Bruxelles a metà novembre alla
presenza di oltre 100 operatori provenienti da 18 paesi, il partenariato ha programmato
una serie di corsi di formazione in servizio rivolti ad insegnanti e dedicati
alla diffusione di un diverso approccio alla didattica delle lingue straniere
basati sull’uso di tecniche teatrali, musicali e video
nell’insegnamento/apprendimento.
I corsi, dal titolo “Creativity in Language Learning: Drama, Music and Video for
the Language Classroom” utilizzeranno i materiali e
metodi prodotti nell’ambito di tre progetti diffusi nell’ambito del
progetto CREALLE e sono inseriti nel
catalogo Comenius-Grundtvig. Numero di riferimento
del corso: DE-2013-1372-003. Il primo corso si svolgerà a Berlino dal 13 al 19
ottobre 2013. L'agenzia Nazionale LLP (INDIRE) finanzia al 100% la
partecipazione a corsi di formazione che si svolgono all'estero. Gli interessati
devono richiedere l’attestato di preiscrizione scrivendo a info@fenice-eu.org
oppure ad armin.hottmann@mediaeducation.net e, una volta ricevuto l’attestato,
compilare il modulo on-line sul sito dell’INDIRE

Successivamente
invieranno per posta all’Agenzia LLP una copia stampata del modulo insieme con

Questo progetto
rappresenta un ampliamento alla lingua Portoghese e la sua variante Brasiliana
di due precedenti progetti, “Languages and Integration through
Singing” & “French and Spanish language competence through songs” relativi alle
lingue Italiano, Francese, Spagnolo, Romeno e Russo e rientra in un più ampio
quadro di attività della FENICE finalizzate a facilitare l’apprendimento delle
lingue.
Al fine di incoraggiare
l’innovazione nell’istruzione, fornire adeguate risposte didattiche e
metodologiche come pure tecnologie innovative adatte ai gruppi target (docenti
di Portoghese come L2 e loro studenti di varie età, persone di qualunque età
apprendenti Portoghese o la sua variante Brasiliana come L2, ma anche tutti
coloro che desiderano apprendere una delle lingue per motivi di lavoro, turismo
o immigrazione), anche il progetto FADO si propone la disseminazione del metodo
di insegnamento di una lingua straniera che abbina l’uso di canzoni con l’uso
di karaoke e materiali audio-visivi inseriti sul web. Questo approccio permette
un apprendimento on demand della lingua appropriato
alle diverse età e tipologie dei discenti e permette l’uso di nuove tecnologie
basate su Internet, YouTube e lavagna multimediale
interattiva.
Il materiale didattico,
relativo ai livelli A2 e B1 del CEFR, è pertanto rivolto a discenti dotati di
competenze linguistiche almeno A1 e si basa sulle Linee Guida che illustrano il
quadro metodologico, l’introduzione al metodo e suggerimenti su come introdurre
l’approccio musicale nell’insegnamento di una lingua e su come scrivere degli
esercizi da soli.
I prodotti elaborati dal
partenariato e relativi a 20 canzoni portoghesi vengono ora sperimentati da 15
docenti di 7 paesi. Nel sito www.languagesbysongs.eu oltre ai materiali
didattici per il portoghese sono stati aggiunti altri materiali relativi
all’italiano, al romeno e allo spagnolo ed il sito contiene ora ben 124 canzoni
con le relative unità didattiche, video e karaoke nelle sei lingue target.

"Un’educazione europea di elevata qualità per
tutti”
Raccogliamo
un milione di firme in Europa !
In occasione del 2013
anno europeo dei cittadini, la Fenice propone di supportare l’iniziativa dei
cittadini europei: “Un’Educazione Europea di qualità elevata
per tutti” e di diffonderla il più possibile. Sottoscrivi qui sul sito della Commissione
Europea
L’associazione MEET ha lanciato in Europa un’iniziativa di cittadini
Europei, usando i nuovi poteri previsti nel Trattato UE di Lisbona che danno ai
cittadini il diritto di richiedere nuove leggi direttamente da parte della
Commissione Europea, posto che siano raccolte sufficienti dichiarazioni di
sostegno. Per la prima volta un'iniziativa riguarda direttamente l'istruzione e
l'educazione europea per tornare a crescere e cambiare in modo concreto il
futuro di chi studia e vuole avere i mezzi migliori per formarsi. Siccome
l'Italia non ha grandi risorse, chiederemo un piano straordinario di sviluppo
con finanziamenti europei. Gli strumenti esistono per passare ai fatti ma bisogna
che l'educazione e la scuola ritornino ad essere una priorità nell'agenda
politica, essendo l'unica spesa dello stato sociale che è anche motore di
sviluppo e di cittadinanza attiva.
L'Iniziativa dei
Cittadini Europei si propone di creare una piattaforma di
discussione/collaborazione tra tutti i soggetti interessati dove genitori,
insegnanti, studenti, parti sociali, educatori e decision-makers
propongano, dibattano e formulino una politica europea per un modello educativo
di qualità, pluralistico. Stabilire delle linee guida per l'implementazione di
questo modello che termini con una Maturità Europea, a beneficio delle future
generazioni, come previsto dal trattato di Lisbona. Alleghiamo il link al volantino descrittivo
